I found my love for pyrography after being homeless in 2022. After finally getting a roof over my head for me and my kids thanks to Crisis, I took up an offer of attending a pyrography session with them. Once I started, I suddenly was able to concentrate on what I was doing. I felt a level of pressure leave. From then on, my love started burning. With everything that had been going on, this thing engaged my hyper focus. Over the next few months, my skill grew rapidly and passion grew for the art. Adding in the different mediums and creative methods allows me to have a high bar before I say I can't do something.

From a young age I would love art and painting and creating things, paint animals and flowers, superheroes, all different things. But I lost my love for art after event in school happened with an art teacher in year 9 and that put me off drawing anything for enjoyment then after. Only times I would draw would be when my mental health was either very high which would present as colourful nature-based designs or very low where they'd be darks, black and greys gothic, morbid designs. Overtime i stopped that but have done the odd bit of creating into other mediums such as welding and graphic design and video editing but none have brought me more into my creative side than after finding pyrography and now I am feeling that inspiration again and that nostalgic feeling of being able to enjoy  creating again like I was as a child.
